Great Americans in Sports: Babe Ruth Reviews
Listened to this with 6, 8, & 10 year old sons & daughter on a long car ride. Was very interesting to listen to for everyone. Another viewer did comment referring to references of the Babe chewing tobacco & drinking as a youngster... personally speaking for me, this provided a teachable moment for explaining to my children how those were not smart choices. Information pertaining to that subject matter was not overdone -in my opinion- and took away nothing from the overall good information provided on the cd. I felt that it was an appropriate audiobook for my childrens' ages, and we enjoyed conversation about it. We give it a thumbs up for any baseball fans out there, or even just a good historical story to listen to.
This book is just ok. The book does not tell much about his childhood or his death. The book focus on just his career. It was not as kid friendly as I thought it might be.
Great book, my 9 year old son loves to play baseball and learned a lot about this baseball icon.
