Scholes: My Story (MUFC) Reviews
Scholesy takes us through his wonderful career with Manchester United (sans 2012/13) with fantastic insight into key moments of his time at the club. The only disappointing thing about this book is that it's a little on the short side, I would've loved to get more details about certain moments that sometimes Scholes glances over however as any United fan would know it's typical of him to be straight forward and to the point. In the end I highly recommend this for Manchester United fans specifically and football fans in general.
Excellent for Man U / Scholes fans, a previous review had indicated that it was mostly photographs with descriptions so I knew exactly what I was buying and thoroughly enjoyed it, although not for the beach as I read it in a day!
Beautifully formatted and printed but really just a collection of photos with extended captions. I expected more insights but that's Paul Scholes for you. I suspect he didn't want to talk about himself so the publisher just presented him with a bunch of photos and asked him to write down what he remembered.
Solid interesting read about one of the modern legends of the game. Scholes seems like one of the good guys in life quiet, modest, unassuming but someone who had an extraordinary talent and used it to its fullest.
High quality cover. I bought it as a gift and the person was very happy with the gift
A great book by the Ginger maestro (and his ghost writer/photographer?). The pics are good - and it's hilarious. Like the man it doesn't get too serious about itself but at the same time gives good background on the player's personality and life as a Utd player.
Very basic, simplistic, lazy attempt, which fails to offer any real insight into his career, or the major players who surrounded him. Good for children with short attention spans who desire chronological fact checks of his career with an abundance of pictures, though for those of us who would like a more in depth exploration of his career, a total let down. Read Gary Neville's book instead.
Amazing book with high quality images and really interesting story about Paul Scholes. All stages of his footballing career from a teenager to the moment he retires.
