American Merchant Seaman's Manual Reviews
excellent reference guide for any sea-farer
This is one of the classic texts for mariners learning their trade. Even after going to sea for more than 20 years I find myself going back to review topics. I also use it for training OSs and new ABs. The only down side is that it doesn't address the new line constructions in detail.
This is a classic, that is used at most if not all the maritime colleges. You need to know this information, it takes you through the deck program, AB, Mate, Captain, information.
Dry but full of useful knowledge
This book is useful for pretty much any boat related knowledge, from rules of the road, to identifying sailboats. If you have an interest in boating you can't go wrong.
Very informative and updated. Lots of knowledge in this book.
