Watercolor Masters and Legends: Secrets, Stories and Techniques from 34 Visionary Artists Reviews
This book is basically a who's who of watercolorists. A good read, entertaining. Should you think you are going to get some helpful information from the book you will only read about the artists and their work.
Exceptional review of the Masters and Legends of watercolor art. I enjoy the tidbits on philosophy and technique. You will not be disappointed. I purchased the Kindle version and read it thoroughly.
This book is very suited to an experienced artist looking for more inspiration and perhaps a change of direction, the photography is excellent and
Many ideas and also inspirational
Agree with those who were disappointed with this book. The "Masters" are somewhat unknown and only slightly border known. In addition, the pictures are poor. I didn't learn a thing from this book...and that is my test.
“Watercolor Masters and Legends” is an amazing collection of outstanding art, interesting commentaries, and insightful interviews with over 30 distinguished artists who reveal some valuable secrets and artistic techniques. The author, Betsy Dillard Stroud, is not only a distinguished writer, lecturer, and workshop leader; but also an award-winning artist and highly-respected art show judge . . . of over 60 state, regional, national, and international events..I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in 1) improving their artistic talents, 2) enjoying some amazing artwork, and 3) learning more about the "Wonderful World of Watercolor Art."
Good study of wate-rcolorists. Balance of representational and non-objective artists. Reproduction of work is excellent.
