I thought that buying Songs of the 2010s before the end of the decade was a dumb idea. I'm sure in five years' time Hal Leonard will come out with a 2nd edition that includes songs from the second half of the decade. But when I saw how many of my favorites were in this volume, I couldn't resist. Here's the full list of songs included:

  • Maxabillion

I would classify the music as intermediate - the compositions are class Leonard, you can count on them to sound like the song you love.

Songs have been transposed from their original keys to "easier" keys, melodies are written into the piano staffs even when the original work does not do so. This bastardizes the music and makes it unplayable. If they had just transposed the pieces and kept the melody in the vocal staff, that would've been fine, but the combination makes it very hard to play the song as intended by the artist which I'm sure will leave many piano players frustrated.
