I generally enjoy Mr. Bruns writing and books. However, this book was very disappointing. It was basically the same stories he already told in his highly enjoyable Cruise Confidential Series. Written in a question and answer forum, the book literally re-tells the exact same stores he already told in his other books. There was nothing new or interesting in this book at all. It was a very quick read, hearing the same example, characters, situations and experiences told exactly the same way, was such a let down. Mr. Bruns is such a gifted writer, but I feel like he threw this book together in a matter of days. If you have already read his 3 Cruise Confidential Series, which are entertaining and great books, do not waste your time and money on this book as it has absolutely nothing new to offer.

I love Mr. Bruns writing style. I love how he tells "stories" of things that happened that you can actually see in your mind while you read it. It has crew stories below the waterline (PG) that won't offend most people. He tried to keep it that way and lets you know as you approach them. He talks about passengers, how the crew deals with provisions the ship SHOULD have (that are not replaced, etc): like enough silverware, etc. Did you know that people take things from the table as a souvenir? Even sugar bowls, he said. Man alive! This is one of the best Cruise Ship books that I ever read, AND could actually enjoy!!!!!! It has so many different elements in is intriguing.

For anyone who likes to go on cruises, this is a very informative, short read. I really did enjoy it and of course wished it went on longer, as I wish all my cruises did.. I've read all of Mr. Bruns cruising books and I think they are so much fun. I'm just waiting for the next one.. Come on Brian..

Easy to read and informative about the mega ships. I even sent a copy as a gift via kindle! Good price.

These vignettes are additive to the Cruise Confidential series. Read those first to thoroughly enjoy this new collection of stories from Mr Bruns.
