I have read many of the books by this author before and I wasn't disappointed with this book either. I love the list method of getting at history. It is much easier to digest and remember when broken down this way and the pictures only amplify this effect. I had no idea of the depth of history of Canada until reading this book. It was shocking to me that some of these things in history could even be true. However, the author did his homework in making this book accurate and true to history!

I did not know much about the history of Canada as it is not as well publicized as other countries like the United States. So for more reading this book was largely a new discovery. The treaty of Saint Germain-Ey-Laye was my favorite chapter. As you read through the book you realisze how much of a vast history Canada actually has. I highly recommend this book to others who want to do a bit of dusting up on their Canadian History.

Great read! It's short compared to other history books but it's very comprehensive. It's also not boring to read since it was beautifully summarized and it has pictures not unlike the other books that are plain text. The events were explained in brief paragraphs so you'll already have an idea what happened on that event. I've never really thought about Canada's history but a friend of mine who's living in Canada intrigued me so I got this book and it didn't disappoint me.

This book Provides visual, period, political and document based. I learned allot of historical information and views of Canadian history. If you want to know too about Canadian history, this book will help you know the history of Canada in a well written and organize form. What makes me love reading this is it contains a number of events in Canadian history that left mark on the lives of the people of the time and in the minds of later generations.

This is a great little book to pick up for those who would like to understand the great white north a little bit better. Being a Canadian, much of the book I already knew, but Weber style of writing was very engaging. He kept me wanting to read more and more, and I actually have a better understanding of a country with so few people, yet such a diverse population. Four thumbs up to Weber!

Canada's culture and history explained in a nutshell. Surprisingly they a well constructed historic time line of Canada's roots. It was easy to understand and grasp the great history which you don't usually get from a lot of lenghty history books. I felt that they tried to tackle all the important events and highlighted the important stuff to stick to readers in a straight forward manner.

The book was a super quick read. Each event was given, on average, a page and a half of information. I am going to reread it several times, using it more as a gateway to more detailed books on the topics presented. I will be looking at others in this collection.
