Art in Chemistry: Chemistry in Art, 2nd Edition Reviews
This is a very lightweight text with hands on "Chemistry" and no insight into art materials' Chemistry. Good for a 10 year old - maybe.
This book is filled with 100's of labs/projects that involve the myriad of connections between science and art. I am a Visual Arts teacher who is focused on integrating STEM concepts into my classroom. I do have a moderate knowledge of math and science, but would not consider myself any expert by any means. This book does a great job of connecting cross curricular topics in a very approachable format. This book is not a reference manual that will give you a deep understanding of chemistry. It touches on a wide range of principles that someone could digest easily. This book has helped me to connect some dots and given me direction for further investigation.
