Airplane Flying Handbook: FAA-H-8083-3A Reviews
I’m sorry I bought this book (kindle version). The formatting is atrocious...whole sections of narrative are missing, there are multiple spacing errors on every page, large areas of blank space. In addition, the book is poorly written. The authors are not adept at explaining technical terms in a way that beginners can understand. For example, the section on “trim” never really explains why trimming is necessary in the first place. What forces are acting on the plane that cause the need for trimming? I recommend Kershner’s “Student Pilot’s Flight Manual,” which is much better.
The front cover is not what is pictured.
Good book for airplane. Thank you!
Lots of useful information for a very beginner flyer.
unbearable formatting, see for yourself in preview. Amazon should remove this item. There's an alternative edition ("Print Replica") that doesn't seem to suffer from same issues.
The old manual in a new publication version.
